Saath Nibhana Saathiya: Ahem gets ready to walk on burning coals for Kokila’s sake!
Until now, we had seen Kinjal getting to know about Kokila’s drama to retain Ahem in Rajkot so that he could be convinced to reunite with Gopi. Kinjal reveals Kokila’s truth to Ahem but he refuses to buy into her claims.
Ahem gives a phone call to Meera at Vidya’s behest to console her and express apology for rebuking her when she hurt Molu. Meera does not take Ahem’s call and asks Mansi to speak on her behalf. Mansi starts throwing emotional barbs at Ahem to melt hi heart by saying how bad she felt when he failed to stand up for her. Ahem says that he could see Kokila getting well and informs Mansi about returning to Mumbai in a matter of 2-3 days.
Kokila overhears Ahem’s telecom with Mansi and gets a panic attack. She resumes her drama by faking sudden illness. A doctor is summoned ASAP to examine Kokila who starts playing along (it seems). The doctor advises Kokila’s family to admit her in the hospital without further delay. However, Kokila declines going to the hospital and says her time to leave the world is near. Meanwhile, Hetal and other members of the Modi clam join Kokila in the chawl.
Gopi and Ahem urge Kokila to visit the hospital but the latter asks for her last wish to be fulfilled. She asks Ahem to accept Gopi as his wife once again. Ahem continues denying doing so while Mansi and Kinjal bear and grin helplessly.
Kinjal thinks of an idea to expose Kokila’s pretentious behaviour. She makes a mannat to walk on burning coals until God hears her plea and add more years to Kokila’s life. All the members of the family including Urmila get shocked to see Kinjal taking such a terrible vow. While Gopi advises Kinjal to avoid exhibiting such blind faith, Ahem comes forward to walk on coals on Kinjal’s behalf. As Ahem steps ahead, Kokila witnesses the occurrence in a state of bewilderment.
