Jamai Raja: DD reveals why she separated from her husband Shiv; Sid vows to reunite the estranged pair!
In the ongoing track of Jamai Raja, Roshni (Nia Sharma) and her mom DD (Achint Kaur) are going through an emotional roller-coaster ride after the return of latter’s estranged husband Shiv.
Until now, Roshni was baffled and upset with her mother for hiding the fact about her father’s identity. However, DD had no choice but to come clean about her past to enlighten Roshni about her decision to separate from Shiv.
In the recent episode, we saw DD narrating the story of her past to Roshni and telling her about the circumstances that forced her to snap tie with Shiv. DD says that Shiv was a middle-class man – a factory union leader – whom she married on her own accord against the wishes of her wealthy parents. However, Shiv was very ambitious and ignored his domestic and familial duties. The final blow came when DD and Shiv’s son Rohan died of illness due to the latter’s indifference towards his treatment.
After listening to DD’s story, Roshni regains her confidence in her mother and begins admiring her even more for bearing all hardships for the sake of her family single-handedly. But, Roshni’s respect for her father Shiv declines drastically.
Sid aka Mr. Goody Two Shoes controls Roshni’s anger and stops her from throwing Shiv out of DD’s house. He even vows to reunite DD and Shiv and instill love in the heart of Roshni for her father.
DD and her mother start preparing to send Shiv to a rehab center.
Meanwhile, in the Khurana house, Simran learns that Sid has been away from home all night and gets perturbed to realise that he has been keeping himself busy in the matters of Roshni’s family.
Roshni visits the Khurana house to resume her duty as Biji’s nurse and pours her heart out to her. Biji assures her that with time all woes will end.
