POLL: Will Mahima Makwana be able to reprise Pooja Bhatt’s role in Sony's new daily soap?
If the recent news about the latest developments in Telly Town is anything to go by, then Mahima Makwana – who was last seen as Rachna in Zee TV’s ‘Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke’ – has been roped in the play the lead in Sony TV’s new daily series.
Now the serial we are talking about here has been named ‘Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane’ and is said to be inspired from Pooja Bhatt and Anupam Kher starrer ‘Daddy’.
According to a news site, Mahima was not the first choice for the role and it was supposed to land in Aanchal Munjal’s kitty.
What makes DKBDHJ special is the fact that it will also feature TV’s big ‘daddy’ Ram Kapoor in a leading role. The promising show will narrate the story of a man hopelessly in love with his wife. But destiny will test him by making him lose his spouse to cancer. Despite the blow, he will muster courage to bring up his daughter and prove himself as a responsible father.
But whether or not the young Mahima, who is just 15, will be able to pull-off the intricate role, is the real question. What do you think readers? Should Aanchal Munjal have been a better choice for the role?
