‘Bigg Boss 8’ Day 5: Secret Society evicts Puneet Issar; Praneet vents his anger on BB for testing his patience on his b'day!

Praneet gets bossy in the kitchen early morning while Gautam is around. He asks him to clear the kitchen sink. But Gautam refuses to comply and says it is not his business.

Gautam gets miffed to see Praneet’s commanding nature, and he asks him to control his temper. In reply, Praneet asks Gautam to do the same and calls him “footage artist” , thereby, miffing him even more.

Karishma joins Praneet and an argument ensues between Diandra and the duo over Gautam’s erratic behaviour. Diandra defends Gautam’s attitude.

Karishma and Soni work in the kitchen and discuss about the increasing muck in the kitchen sink as a result of the dishes being washed in it. They (tauntingly) ask Diandra to give her take on the issue. The ladies decide to wash the dishes outside the kitchen area.

While Praneet is with Upen near the wash basin in the garden area, he calls Diandra for a conversation and asks her if she is angry with him regarding their kitchen dispute. They solve the dispute when Praneet gives her a chance to explain her point of view about Gautam’s behaviour. Upen helps Diandra put her point across with a neutral stand. In the end of the conversation, Praneet accepts Diandra’s clarification and gives a nod smiling.

Praneet gets upset with the tiresome idea of washing the dishes in the garden area and then bringing them back to the kitchen. He expresses his displeasure to Diandra who tries pacifying him by telling him the logic behind the decision made collectively by her, Karishma and Soni. Diandra gets zapped out of energy when Praneet sticks to his stand. She simply asks other contestants to tackle him.

In the evening, the Bigg Boss asks the members of Secret Society to discuss amongst themselves and pick one members who does not deserve to be in SS. With a heavy heart, Deepshika and RJ Preetam give Puneet’s name to BB citing his emotional nature as a reason. Puneet happily agrees with the reason, packs his bags and bids a warm goodbye to Deepshika and Preetam.

He is ushered by two black robed and masked men inside the BB house where other contestants are living. Arya steps forward to give a warm hug to Puneet and other inmates take turns to greet him with a broad smile.

They get cheerful to see him and take him inside the aircraft. The housemates are told by Puneet about the reason for his eleimination from the SS. However, he refrains from revealing the names of other SS members to the contestants. They coax him to tell the names and other tidbits about the place from where the SS has been operating. Puneet tries getting away from giving the true answers and teases everyone by telling different things about the SS (to hide the fact as part of the Bigg Boss pact).

Arya and Karishma order Sonali to vacate her seat (without seeking her permission) for Puneet. Sonali gets upset with Arya for ordering her to vacate her seat instead of himself leaving his seat for Puneet. She shares her feelings with Sushant while chatting with him in the garden area, later. Afterwards, Arya approaches Sonali for an apology. She tells him how wrong his action was and refuses to talk to her.

Praneet Bhatt celebrates his birthday with other housemates. He is made to hear a soulful message from his mother which makes him and other inmates cry. The BB sends a brownie with candle for Praneet when he was expecting cake for the birthday celebrations. He is also sent a dhoti and a pair of traditional clothes.

Praneet cuts the birthday brownie with inmates and opens the gift wrapped clothing expecting something nice to wear. Later, he shows his resentment on BB camera and tells BB that he has been tested for his patience enough and he can’t bear to see his self-esteem getting low. He complaints in angrily that he can’t take the torture anymore and he can’t continue to live on others’ mercy.

Around midnight, Puneet joins Arya and Upen for a candid chat in the garden area, and he shares his interesting take on the some male members of the house. He says that every (male) member in the house is akin to a popular character from the great Indian epic Mahabharata (remember Puneet played Duryodhan in B.R. Chopra 1988 series). He calls Arya as Bheem, Upen as Arjun, Gautam as Karna, Sushant as Nakul and asserts that Praneet is more like Yudhistir not like the evil Shakuni. Puneet refers to himself as Bhishma Pitamaha (the grandsire) as he is eldest member in the house.

At around 2.30 am, Arya is shown talking about Puneet with Upen. Arya says that he can’t bring himself to trust Puneet as he shared 4 different facts about the Secret Society. He goes on to say that Puneet has bonded at so well in a couple of hours with every member which could mean that he has an ulterior motive behind being amongst the contestants.

Upen shares the same concern with Arya and adds on his part that since Puneet is a honed actor, he could just be acting to be nice and easy going with a plan in mind.

Well, we are rather shocked to see a flippant Arya take to badmouthing Puneet so easily, who he gave a warm welcome and treated him so well as he entered the house.
