Jodha-Akbar: Jalal’s trust on Jodha is complete; but for how long?
Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar is daily watching his Rajput Begum secretively going to meet a stranger behind the bushes. But despite persistent attempts by Maham Anga to plant seeds of doubt in his heart, Jalal is firm on his belief that Jodha could never befool him.
So, Jalal is not bothered about Jodha going every night to see an unknown man in disguise but her own safety is becoming a serious matter for him as his enemies are spread everywhere on a lookout to kill him and his kinsmen.
He is in a dilemma whether to question Jodha directly about her whereabouts at dusk or wait for the right time to get the right answers. And on the other hand, Jodha is guilty that she is unable to tell the truth to Jalal about her daily meetings with her brother Sujamal.
In the midst of all this, Jodha is unable to keep up with her responsibilities as the in-charge of the Harem and she might get questioned soon for the lapse. Having said that, there is someone who is benefitting from the fact that Jodha is powerless to face Jalal due to the guilt riding in her heart.
We are referring to the possessive Ruqaiya Begum here as she is okay as long as Jodha and Jalal are staying apart for whatever reason.
All we need to sewe is whether Jalal’s trust on Jodha will continue to remain unshakeable?
