Unplugged: Television's Lord Vishnu and Krishna - Saurabh Raaj Jain!
The charming actor Saurabh Raaj Jain is currently playing Lord Krishna and Lord Vishnu simultaneously in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's 'Mahabharat' and Nukhil Sinha 'Devon Ke Dev Mahadev' respectively. Here's what he said during a short tête-à-tête:
How does it feel to be playing Lord Krishna after Vishnu, former being the latter's divine incarnation?
I feel blessed to get the opportunity to play Lord Vishnu and now his avatar Lord Krishna in two different shows at the same time.
What has worked in your favour?
My mother's blessings, love from my wife and well wishes of viewers and fans.
Don't you fear getting typecast since this is your third show in the mythological genre?
I don't fear especially because I have played Anand the good boy in 'Parichay' and Yuvraj, the bad boy, in 'Uttaran' (Colors). Moreover, I don't think there is such thing as typecasting in TV today.
Did you prepare to play Krishna in Mahabharat?
Yes, I have read many books related to Mahabharat to get the essence of Lord Krishna, one thing which attracted me the most is "Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum'.
