December 26 Episode

The show begins with the wicked trio comprising Duryodhana, Shakuni and Dushasana planning th destrucking of Pandavas with glee. Duryodhan reveals his pans to burn down his five enemies in the Laakshagraha which has been constructed of inflammable materials.

A visibly shocked Karna speaks up against Duryodhan's unrighteous plans. He says that not just Duryodhan's enemies but his friend's (Karna's) prowess, his own respect and the pride of the Kuru ancestors will also be burned down with the Pandavas.

Karna's words surprise Duryodhan and the latter expresses his displeasure at the former's thought.

Karna justifies his disagreement over the matter by saying, that for a brave heart warrior, what solely matters is fighting a just battle. Shakuni appears miffed with Karna's statement and tells him not to preach about righteousness. He says there is only one 'Dharma' in the world, which is victory, because only winners create history.

On his part, Duryodhan tries to win Karna's backing by throwing emotional darts. He says that if his dear friend is not in his favour, then it is better to dump his ambitions for good.

Karna replies that he is against fraudulent means not against battle. If necessary, he can fight for Duryodhan's rights with the whole clan. Duryodhan says that he can't fight his own kinsmen and elders for fulfilling his ambitions. He further argues that since the Pandavas have decidved him by snatching his birthright, he too would pull them down the same way.

These arguments soften Karna a bit and he agrees to Duryodhan's wishes reluctantly.

In the next scene, Kunti takes leave from everyone – King Dhritrashtra, Queen Gandhari, Bheeshma, Vidur and other members of the Kuru clan. Karna's conscience again prods him to stop Kunti but he steps back looking at Shakuni. Yudhistir comes to bid goodbye to Duryodhan, who says that he need not worry about Hastinapur. Yudhistir says, he is not worried about the welfare of Hastinapur as God will take care of the people, but, he is rather worried about the individual who does not abide by Dharma. Bheema quips in to explain a perplexed Duryodhan that Yudhistir means to signal at his welfare.

Duryodhan replies that they need not worry about him as the cause of their worry will be over very soon.

A guilt ridden Karna touches Kunti's feet before her departure and feels a strange attachment towards her. Kunti blesses him affectionately to be a follower of Dharma.

The scene then moves to the kingdom of Dwarka where Krishna is shown advising Arjun to stop by Triveni Sangam. Krishna tells his dear friend to have a holy bath in the rivers on his way to Varnavrata and reminisce the story of Saraswati river's extinction.

They eternal friends look into each others' eyes and bid goodbye.

Next Episode: Purochan welcomes Kunti and the Pandavas in Vaarnavrata. Kunti asks him to welcomes them with an oil lamp which makes Purochan uneasy. The oil lamp falls down and the ground catches fire.
