Mahabharat: Gandhari gets the solution to save her only son, Duryodhan conjures Serpent King to kill Pandavas!
King Dhritrashtra and his Queen Gandhari have been mourning the loss of their 99 sons, including the death of Dushasan, who was mercilessly killed by Prince Bheem in the Kuru war on the 17th day.
After losing Dushasan, Gandhari made haste to seek the counsel of Maharishi Ved Vyas at his abode. When Gandhari asked Ved Vyas to help her save Duryodhan’s life, he told her not to make any attempt to do so as she will be protecting a sinner from being punished. However, Gandhari was adamant to save her only son alive and persisted in her effort to convince Maharishi to help her out.
After much convincing, Maharishi agreed to help Gandhari and told her that since she has been doing penance all her life, there is massive power stored inside her as a result. He further said that the power has the potential to make Duryodhan’s body as strong as vajra or Lord Indra’s weapon.
On the other hand, after getting her hair washed with Dushasan’s blood, Draupadi comes back to her camp, and the maids clean her hair with water and milk. Kunti asks Draupadi to wear the chudamani again, which by the way, she had not been wearing after she was disrobed in Hastinapur. But Panchali tells her MIL Kunti that she would wear it in the Hastinapur’s court once her husband’s win the war.
And then, there were Duryodhan and Shakuni who were seen conjuring the Serpent King, Takshak, who is the enemy of Arjun. When Karna advised them against seeking the help of the Nagas in the war, Duryodhan and Shakuni told him that even Pandavas sought demon Ghatotkacha’s help. However, Karna reasoned that Ghatotkacha helped the Pandavas as he was related to Bheem. But Duryodhan tries justifying his act by telling him that the enemy of one’s own enemy is like a friend and there is no reason that they should not Takshak to intervene.
