Mahabharat: Drona beheaded by Dhrishtadyumna, Gandhari swears to save Duryodhan!

After a lot of convincing by Krishna on morality and duty, Guru Drona lays down his weapons and surrenders himself to the Lord. He also leads for forgiveness for Draupadi for not helping her when she was getting disrobed in the Kuru Assembly at the Game of Dice.

Just then, Dhrishtadyumna arrives before him and beheads him to avenge his father’s death. The funeral rites of Drona and Drupad are carried out and his disciples remember the moments shared with him. Arjun declares that whenever anyone in future will remember him for his skill and courage, it will be Guru Drona who will be actually receiving the homage by the act of remembrance.

In Hastinapur, King Dhritrashtra and his queen Gandhari are mourning the death of their sons and are worried about the fate of Duryodhan. Gandhari says that the great astrologer Maharishi Jaimini had predicted that she could save only one of her sons. So, she will put every effort to save Duryodhan’s life, who will in turn, seek revenge for the death of his brothers from Kunti’s five sons.

In the next episode, we will tell you what happens with Dushasan in the battlefield as he is one of the main culprits behind the insults and troubles hurled upon the Pandavas.
