One of the biggest evil doers of Mahabharat – Ashwathama – has almost finished the progeny of the Pandavas by killing their sons. He had done the inglorious act to fulfill his friend Duryodhan’s last wish. However, instead of finishing off Pandu’s sons, he ended up murdering his grandsons.

Elated to hear the death of the Pandavas, Duryodhan finally breathes his last.

On the other hand, at the Pandava camp, Draupadi and Subhadra wail before the dead bodies of their sons. The Pandavas pick up their weapons and leave to punish Ashwathama for his heinous crime.

Ashwathama get shocked to see Pandavas alive but when he comes to know that he killed their sons instead, he get joyous to know that he did even a greater act by killing the progeny of his enemy.

Bheem and Nakul try killing Ashwathama but his wound recovers as he is one of the Chiranjivis (immortal) on earth.

To kill even the last heir of the Pandavas i.e. Uttara and Abhimanyu’s son, Ashwathama fires Bramha’s weapon.

To counter Ashwathama’s weapon, Arjun too fires up his own Bramhastra. However, the moment Arjun does so, Krishna comes and starts reproaching him for the act that could finish off the entire earth. Krishna says that their purpose to start life afresh on earth will be defeated if the two divine weapons will collide and burst, thereby, wiping off the earth itself from the universe.

Listening to Krishna’s words, Arjun retrieves his weapon by the power of his asceticism and knowledge. However, Ashwathama, who has either the knowledge or the will to retrieve his weapon, fails to bring back his Brahmastra.

The Brahmastra takes it position and gets ready to strike the target and the Pandavas look on helplessly.

Now, all eyes are fixed on Krishna to see what he does next. Will he be able to save Uttara’s unborn child? If yes, then how? We’ll tell you in our next update.
