The episode begins with Bhishma Pitamah in the burnt down palace of the Pandavas. He goes through the ashes looking for proof of death of his beloved relatives and understandably finds it. Burnt weapons on charcoal bodies are spread all over the floor.

Assuming that these bodies belong to the Pandavas, Pitamah picks up the weapons and starts riding towards Hastinapura. Seeing him enter, the masses start weeping too for they are sad at the death of their favorite princes.

Duryodhan is very happy with this news and along with his brothers he hoists the Hastinapur flag suggesting that now the Kauravas are the sole heirs of this kingdom. Karan feels very sad at this entire shenanigan as he’s caught between supporting his friends and doing the right thing.

In a happy turn of events, the five princes and their mother are seen alive at a ridge, though dirty. At the shores of Ganga, where Pitamah mourns the death of his children, Vidhur informs him that due to a secret message that he sent Yudhishtir, maybe the family left in time and in all probability they’re alive right now.
