Kumkum Bhagya: Pragya intentionally stoops low to ruin her reputation; Abhi decides to find out the reason behind Pragya's strange demeanour
In the recent episode, we saw Pragya (Sriti Jha) bringing Akash and Rachna to Mehra house after getting them married with Suresh’s consent. After dilly-dallying for some time, Suresh accepts Rachna’s decision and blesses Akash and her.
The Mehra family waits anxiously for Akash to arrive so that the rites of his marriage with the girl of their choice could begin. However, they receive a rude shock as they see Akash entering with Rachna wearing garland and the works. Pragya declares that she got the duo married as Rachna had been unduly suffering blows of the unfair world for being an unwed mother.
Akash’s mother aggressively confronts Pragya for messing up their life by daring to get Akash and Rachna married against the wishes of Mehra family. Pragya, however, vehemently defends herself and even purposely alleges Dadi for being partial towards Abhi.
To ruin her reputation before Dadi and others to make life easy for Tanu, Pragya accuses Dadi of habouring biased intentions towards Abhi and Akash. She accuses Dadi for not accepting Akash’s biological child but desiring a grandchild from her favorite grandson Abhi.
Dasi gets pestered with Pragya’s false charges and gives her a tight slap before everyone. Yet, Pragya goes on to speak against Dadi and others for giving preference to material prosperity over emotions. Dasi finds it difficult to bear Pragya’s allegations and says that she is not just in accusing them of being partial when they stood up for her instead of Abhi and always fulfilled all her wishes.
Finally, Pragya ushers Rachna and Akash inside their room to make them comfortable. Akash thanks Pragya for supporting them and vouches for every word said by her.
Abhi, meanwhile, wonders if Pragya really meant to insult Dadi. He chances upon Pragya crying in Dadi’s room looking at her pictures and seeking apology for her rude behaviour. Witnessing Pragya in such a sorry state, Abhi realises that she is hiding something for a serious purpose or else she would have never spoken ill against Dadi. He gets determined to find what Pragya is hiding in her heart and confronts her as soon as enters his room
Abhi begins by complimenting her for acting with such finesse despite knowing that he never spares the one who bothers his Dadi.
Pragya answers that whatever she said was truth and right. Abhi throws a counter argument saying it means that the lie she uttered during the night he proposed her was actually the truth. This utterance leaves Pragya short of words!
