Ye Hai Mohabbatein: Subbu alleges Mrs. Bhalla for forcing his wife to kill herself; The Bhallas make peace with Subbu
In the recent episode, we saw Subbu finally revealing the story of his wife Laxmi’s suicide to the Bhallas. He begins by telling that it was Shaila Bua’s daughter Neha Vanraj who stole his conjugal bliss by spreading false news about her affair with him. Subbu shares that Neha was working as his assistant at the dental clinic and she crossed the line by claiming to be pregnant with his baby. Shaila got the wind of the fake affair and she shared the same with Mrs. Bhalla (Raman’s mother). The two women, believing that Neha is indeed pregnant with Subbu’s child and had got it aborted, met Laxmi and scolded her for not being able to control her philandering husband. As a result, Laxmi got convinced that Subbu is indeed involved with Neha and jumped off the house with her son Karthik.
As Subbu narrates the story, the Bhallas watch him with pity. However, Subbu refuses to let go his anger and moves ahead to pounce on Mrs. Bhalla for ruining his life. Sujata and Bala restrain him and pull him back from inviting any trouble by harming the Bhallas further. Mrs. Bhalla regrets for what she did unknowingly and defends her action saying she was misled by the fake pregnancy reports presented by Neha. Subbu does not entertain Mrs. Bhalla’ arguments and continues to boil in rage.
Raman warns Subbu to stay away from his family and leaves with everyone. After reaching home, Ishita finds Mrs. Bhalla sobbing and hoping to be forgiven by Subbu for her doing. Ishita decides to visit Subbu with Mrs. Bhalla to talk it out once and for all. They land at Subbu’s place with Raman in tow. However, Raman chooses to wait for them at the doorstep and listen to the conversation. Subbu, as usual, gets mad at Mrs. Bhalla. Just then, a video recording of Laxmi and Subbu’s happy moments plays on the TV set. Subbu watches Laxmi asking him to give up anger and be good. He gets teary-eyed and gets a feeling that Laxmi’s soul is communicating with him and asking him to let bygone be bygone and forgive all. At last, Subbu has a change of heart and he grants forgiveness to Mrs. Bhalla. Sujata, too, gives up her anger and hatred for the sake of peace. Later, Subbu makes peace with Simmi by apologizing to her for what he did to her. Simmi forgives him but says that she can’t trust him anymore. However, she learns to walk on her own feet and raise her daughter without the need of any man. To make peace with the Bhallas, Subbu takes back the case he slapped on the family. Things finally fall into place as Raman’s investors also come back to him with more trust.
