Kapil Sharma no longer in YRF's Bank Chor!
Comedian Kapil Sharma, who has been riding high on the success of his extremely popular show Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors TV which has fast emerged as the necessary pit stop for all movie promotions, has now suffered a significant let down.
Kapil had signed a three film deal with Yash Raj Films and the first of these films which had been announced had been 'Bank Chor' which is to be directed by 'Bumpy'. However Yash Raj Films has released a statement today wherein they have announced that Kapil is no longer a part of the film. It is still unclear as to whether the three film deal stands or even that has been scrapped.
In their statement, Yash Raj Films have stated that the split is a mutual decision of the two parties and that they look forward to working with Kapil in the future "when the time is right".
Kapil was also involved in a war of words with Kamaal R. Khan on a micro-blogging site recently.
The official statement issued by Yash Raj Films on their website reads -
"In a recent development, YRF & Kapil Sharma have decided to part ways mutually. Y Films’ “Bank Chor” will now go on floor without him.
Ashish Patil, Business & Creative Head, Youth Films, Talent Management & Brand Partnerships at Yash Raj Films, speaking on this development said, “We will look forward to working together in future when the time is right.”
“Bank-Chor” is a comic-caper, that tells the story of 3 morons trying to rob a bank who pick the worst day possible when everything that can go wrong, goes wrong and how they’re inadvertently caught in the crossfire of cops, industrialists and corrupt netas. “Bank-Chor” is directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil.
Watch this space to for more announcements on this front soon!"
