Jodha Akbar: Will Jodha allow Jalal to marry a much younger girl to save her son Salim from the wrath of tribals?

In the recent episode of Jodha Akbar, we saw a nervous Jalal returning home with Bhagwan Das from the tragic tribal wedding.

The King does not share any news of the sad incident with Jodha but ponders over the fate of his son Salim who killed the groom by mistake. Bhagwan Das suggests Jalal to attack and kill the tribals but the God-fearing king refuses to do so.

Jalal wonders how to tackle the issue as he cannot punish Salim considering the fact that he has just returned from 7 years of exile.

Bhagwan Das puts forth another suggestion before Jalal. He asks Jalal that the tribal community can forgive Salim’s grave crime in exchange of anything else to settle the score.

Jalal likes the idea and with hopes goes to see the tribal king. The tribals accept Jalal’s offer and ask him to marry their princess Bela as after her groom’ demise, no one else in their society will accept her.

Hearing the tribal king say so, Jalal gets flabbergasted and blasts him for thinking that way. However, left with no other choice to save his son Salim, Jalal agrees to marry Bela only if she says ‘yes’ to the union.

Jalal is escorted to have a private conversation with Bela. On being asked by Jalal if she is willing to marry him, to his surprise, Bela answers in the affirmative.

On the other hand, Anarkali and Salim depart for their respective abodes. Salim seeks out his friend Farhan and asks him why he left out Bela when he had the chance to run away with her.

Farhan replies that he had noticed Jalal’s presence in the wedding venue and did not want to risk Salim’s welfare.

Salim vows to fulfill his promise of helping Bela and Farhan unite.

On the other hand, Man Bai gets caught by Jodha while staring at Salim in the palace. Jodha assures Man that she will make her marry the love of her life, Salim. Man gets elated to hear Jodha’s words and hugs her out of affection.

Jodha also shares her wisdom with Man saying that no matter how many wives a king has, he will always have that special someone with whom he would share his heart and soul.

While Jodha is yet to learn about Jalal’s new decision, we wonder how she will receive the news of his remarriage.
