Jodha Akbar: Sharif executes his plan to kill Jalal; Maham Anga on her deathbed!
Jalaluddin Akbar’s brother-in-law Sharifuddin finally went ahead to attack Jalal by making his way through a secret cave leading to Jodha’s room. At that time, Jalal was resting with Jodha in her chamber.
When Sharif saw Jalal, he became nervous. While Jalal became alert to see an intruder trying to break in to the room. Jalal followed the Sharif (in disguise) through the cave to catch hold of him.
However, the shrewd Sharif made a ploy to save himself from getting exposed by pretending as if it was not him but an enemy troop that had tried intruding into Jodha’s chamber.
Sharif kills that troop to portray as if he killed an enemy by catching hold of him. But when Sharif tries acting too sweetly, Jalal gets suspicios of him and asks his trusted men to keep a close watch on him. Sharif’s father overhears Jalal asking him to keep an eye on Sharif and he later, chides his son for not killing the emperor when he had the chance in his hands.
On the other hand, Maham Anga is on her death bed and Jalal had ordered that she should be moved to Delhi so as to avoid her curse from harming his unborn children.
However, being the kind hearted person that she is, is trying to convince Jalal to let Maham Anga die in Agra as per her last wish. Will Jalal give his consent and most importantly, will he visit Maham Anga’s cell to meet her before she takes her last breath?
