Till now, we had seen Salim appearing at Anarkali’s doorstep to confess his love for her before leaving for Agra.

However, Salim’s plan to propose the love of his live got busted as he realized that she is none other than Nadira, his arch enemy, who got him punished severely in childhood.

In the recent episode, Salim stands outside Anarkali's hut, and, from a window, watches her speaking to her friend about her prince charming. Her mother Zil Bahar overhears the conversation and blesses Anarkali to have her Mr. Right.

Zil Bahar asks Anakali to perform some chore and calls out her real name ‘Nadira’.

As soon as Salim hears this name, his face registers an expression of shock as if stuck by lightning.

He recalls all the childhood moments involving Nadira and how she played a key part in getting him punished by Jalal for mistakenly wounding a poor boy by shooting an arrow at him.

All the hatred lying dormant in Salim’s heart resurfaces and he hastily goes away with the vow of never meeting Anarkali again.

He reaches his camp and in a state of distress looks for a dose of opium. When he finds nothing in his reach, he pleads with tears in eyes before Rukaiya to give him opium. Rukaiya acts as if she is genuinely concerned for Salim and gives him opium saying it is his last dose from her.

Looking at Salim’s state of mind, she smirks evilly to realise that he is completely under her control now. She plays her another card by asking Salim to make peace with Jalal but Salim refutes her request angrily. At this point, Rukaiya gets assured that the seed of hatred she had sown in Salim’s heart has become a full grown tree.

On the other hand, Jalal gets to know from Jodha that Salim is fine and is coming out of his depression. Happy with the news, they end their fast and enjoy their meal together. Jodha asks Jalal to sort out the differences with Salim and tell him the facts before leaving for Agra. Jalal likes the idea and agrees to do as suggested by his Begum.

Soon, the ministers of Jalal’s court – Rahim, Man Singh and Haider – visit the King’s chamber and discuss Farhan’s murder mystery.

While Rahim and Man share that going by the marks on Farhan’s body, a wild animal must have played a role in his death. Whereas a cunning Haider says that someone must have used an animal’s claw-shaped weapon to kill Farhan. To pass the buck at the tribal King, Haider suggests his name behind the murder.

Will Salim get over his fascination for Anarkali? Will Jalal be successful in his endeavour to lift the veil of misunderstanding from Salim’s mind?

To get the answers to this riddle, you know where to come back, right?
