Jodha Akbar: Rukaiya forces Jalal & Jodha to fulfill her wish for a child!
While Jalal has already refused to accept Rukaiya’s unreasonable demand to obtain one of the children of Jodha, the stubborn Mughal Begum refuses to give up building castles in the air.
Lately, we saw her arranging for a courtroom session to put forth her demands. She went about saying that since Jalal has agreed to grant once wish each of his every wife, he should give a child to be delivered by Jodha to her. When Jalal rejected Rukaiya’ plea again, she went on to say that if he can fulfill Jodha’s wish to spare Khaibar’s life, then as an ideal king, he should agree to her demands as well.
She created a furor in the courtroom despite Hamida and Jalal trying to explain her their own point of view.
Later, Jodha approached Rukaiya to pacify her. She wept before Jodha to melt her heart with her miserable state. Rukaiya even said that Jalal proved that he loves Jodha more by rejecting her request. She highlighted the fact that Salima already has a son (Rahim) and within a few months even Jodha will have her own child. But, only she will be left alone and childless amidst Jalal’s Begums.
These remarks left Jodha in deep thought while Rukaiya smirked evilly at the Rajput Princess.
Does this imply that Jodha will give her consent to fulfill Rukaiya’s demand?
