‘Jodha Akbar’ New Promo: Jodha's call to change her religion shocks Akbar!
Time and again Jodha has proved to be an epitome of self-sacrifice, love, mercy and everything that is divine. Many a times in the past, time has tested Jodha’s goodness but every time she emerged stronger than any trial.
Once again, destiny has put Jodha in such tricky situation that she has no choice but to sacrifice her religion as well. Jalal has promised Jodha right before marriage to continue living as a Hindu. But in his wildest dream, the Emperor of India never thought that his word will make him torn between wife and countrymen. In the current track, we could see the King of Iran adamantly demanding Jodha’s conversion to Islam so that Salim could inherit the crown as a legal heir. Jalal has to make a choice between requesting Jodha to accept Islam or turn down the proposal of Iranian King and thus face boycott from the Islamic nations that won’t welcome Hindustanis to visit Mecca and Madina.
In the new promo, we see Jodha deciding to embrace Islam so that Salim’s rights as the true heir are not snatched away in the bid.
While Akbar refuses to accept Jodha’s sacrifice, we can say for sure that she is not the one to budge from her stand.
