Jodha Akbar: At last, a haughty Maham Anga bows down before Jodha!
After a long haul, Maham Anga gave up her unforgiving attitude and hatred towards the Rajput Princess.
We have seen how much dislike Maham Anga had for Jodha ever since she married Jalal.
But when recently Jodha fulfilled Maham Anga’s last wish, the latetr had to give up her big ego.
Well, it so happened recently that Maham Anga was being taken away to Delhi as per Jalal’s orders. Although she wanted to die in the fort, she gave up that desire and expressed a wish to meet Jalal for the last time before leaving Agra.
But Jalal was least willing to see Maham Anga as he was miffed with her for her evil deeds.
However, the Good Samaritan, Begum Jodha, forwarded Maham’s plea to Jalal and coaxed him to see her by reminding him of the good she has done to him. She even tried softening Jalal’s heart by talking bluntly about Maham.
That did the trick and Jalal went on to meet Maham while she was being carried out of the palace in a cot.
Maham Anga not just fulfilled her last wish to hugging Jalal but she publicly acknowledged Jodha for being kind and good and said that the Rajput princess deserves to be Mariam Zamani. She said that by convincing Jalal to meet her for the last time, she has become indebted to Jodha. So, to clear the debt, Maham Anga took back her curse from Jodha.
Happy with the favour, Jodha and Jalal heaved a sigh of relief and parted amicably with Maham Anga.
