Jodha-Akbar: Jalal exposes Atifa’s game plan on his nikaah!
So finally, the cat is out of the bag! On the day of Jalal’s wedding with Atifa, while everyone was witnessing the proceedings with a heavy heart, little did anyone know that a shocking revelation is in store.
As the marriage formalities got over in the recent episode, Atifa, to everyone’s surprise, picked up a sword and beheaded Jalal, who was sitting by her side with his face covered with garlands.
This caused a furor in the court and everyone started shouting “Alas! Jalal is dead!” Listening to the cries, Jodha ran to find her husband dead. Meanwhile, Atifa’s companions surrounded Jalal’s courtiers and relatives with weapons in their hands lest they run away.
Just then, Atifa brought forth her real identity by declaring that she is Sakina not Atifa. Her plan was to usurp Jalal’s throne. Finding Jalal dead, Maham Anga joined the scene and rebukeed Atifa for killing him when it was actually decided to simply snatch away his kingdom. She further revealed that she did not hate Jalal but his wife Jodha because of whom her popularity in the palace declined.
Everyone in attendance listened to this confession in a state of shock.
Jodha exclaimed that she will teach Atifa a lesson and tried leaving the place. However, Atifa’s men stopped her way. Just then, Jalal comes in disguise and unravels his truth!
He unmasks himself and wounds Atifa’s men. A fight ensues between Jalal’s and Atifa’s men. Jalal’s troops succeed in defeating the enemies. Maham Anga threatens Jalal that she has loaded the canons with fireballs, so he better don’t act smart.
Jalal answers that they can check the cannons as he has unloaded them knowing all along that something fishy is going on. He further reveals that he knew from the very first meeting with Atifa that it has been planned by his enemies. He also says that his doubts got a confirmation when he was told that Atifa is from Kabul. He knew that Atifa was pretending to be an abused wife because she wanted his mercy and attention. So, to get to the depth of the matter, he started playing along with them.
It is clear now that after Maham Anga’s Exposé, she and her son Adham won’t be able to enjoy the same treatment as they did earlier.
But we are glad that finally the track ended on a good note. We have to see now what happens next as Jalal as a few more enemies like Sharifuddin and Begum Chuchak to deal with.
