EXCLUSIVE: “Gurmeet (Choudhary) has a habit of leaving the wet towel on the table” - Debina Bon Choudhary

Actress Debina Bon Choudhary is one a work break these days after having worked in Sab TV’s ‘Chidiyaghar’ for three long years. We at Pinkvilla.com took advantage of her being on a sabbatical to speak to her about her husband Gurmeet, her famous celeb pals and many more things! Excerpts from the interview:

What prompted you to leave ‘Chidiyaghar’ all of a sudden?

I did the show for three years but because it is a comedy show, there was no scope for my character to develop more. Comedy scripts have short stories and the stories start repeating after a few episodes. Such scripts give more exposure to a male actor than a female one. So I wasn't getting that much opportunity to grow.

Gurmeet has bagged a Bhatt film and has been busy shooting for it. How do you feel about his new beginning?

I'm very excited for Gurmeet that he has got an opportunity to work for a Bhatt movie.

Do you wish to stick to doing TV or you too wish to do a film much like Gurmeet?

I never plan anything beforehand; it depends on the offers that I get. If I get a script that excites me, then I wouldn't mind doing the offered role.

You are a Bengali girl whereas Gurmeet is a from a different community. How do you keep background differences from creeping in your marriage?

We don't think there is a difference because we believe where there is love there are adjustments and the most important thing is to love your partner that helps to make a relationship even more stronger.

What is Gurmeet’s best habit and also the worst one?

Gurmeet is a fitness freak and only eats healthy food even if it is not tasty. He has a habit of leaving the wet towel on the table.

Any plans to start a family?

We haven't thought about it yet because we both are currently busy concentrating on our careers.

What’s next after ‘Chidiyaghar’? Have you started planning for your next project?

As of now I don't have anything in my mind but I want to do some challenging roles and am sure it will come my way soon.

So much love we see between all the members of the KKK5 gang. How is each one of them is like in your eyes?

Gauahar is a workaholic while Kushal is an amazing person, Nikitin still behaves like a kid sometimes and Kratika is a lovely girl. For Rajneish his work is everything and his wife Pallavee is blessed to have him, Teejay is my bestie with whom I share everything and Karanvir is always in a hyper mood. If I have to describe Ranvir (Shorey) in one or two words, then I would say he is like a Bigg Boss!
