Pic Alert: Guess Who?
An actress of a popular television show on Zee TV recently changed her looks completely for a new sequence on her show. We wondered who she was when we came across this picture.
After mulling over it, we realized that the old woman in the picture could be no one other than Gunjan aka Roopal Tyagi of ‘Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke’. Roopal’s character Gunjan is known for her daring acts. So, it became clear that to us that only she could pull-off such a look with confidence.
The new get-up, we hear from a source close to the show, was required for one of the special scenes aired lately. While speaking to the members of the press, Roopal revealed, “It was fun to dress up as an old woman. Sequence was where I pretend to be from the home ministry to get some information about the village that I am trying to help. I wore a wig for the first time. I felt I could see my future. I felt like my school teacher not any actress. My co-actors could not recognize me. In fact, my creative director’s kid came on the set to meet me, and then, went home and asked his dad Gunjan se kyon nahi milaya (why did not you make me meet Gunjan?). And I am glad I play Gunjan who gets to do such new things on and off.”
After the telecast of the episode, I got compliments for my convincing as a buddhi (old woman)."
