‘Happy New Year’ director Farah Khan is majorly upset with the producers of an online chat show, The Bench, hosted by Cyrus Sahukar.

The reason that has miffed Farah is the leakage of a 2-minute long video clip that shows her speaking in an abusive language. Although footage was not aired but its disclosure without any prior consent has not gone down well with Farah, who appeared as a guest speaker on the show lately.

Talking to Hindustan Times newspaper, Farah said the viral clip was made without her being aware of it and it does not show her in the right light.

“In the three-hour interview, I took on myself and my films. They made a 13-minute edit that I approved of. But someone made this clip, which I had no idea about. It’s gone viral and people have it on their phones now. I sound like a mad person. I am sane and rational, and not someone who would do something like this. I just have to be careful next time,” said the actor-director.

Being a mother, Farah is also concerned about what impression the clip would leave on children and youngsters. “I was told the show was for people over 18 years of age, and Rhea Kapoor (producer) confirmed to me that one has to log in to watch it.”

Surprisingly, when Farah was informed that the video can be freely accessed by all, she said, “Then I better check with them.”

She also shared that she is keeping her fingers crossed and hoping that the producers and host have no role behind the leakage of the clip.

“Rhea and her father (actor Anil Kapoor) are my dear friends. If they have done it, then they have taken me for a ride. If that’s the case, then people will really be scared to come on their show,” she signed off.

We hope the issue gets sorted soon!
