‘Kumkum Bhagya’ Trailer: A tipsy Mrs. Arora vows to find the right groom for her daughter Sriti Jha
Ekta Kapoor is back with yet another masala show that promise comic, romance as well as drama moments in ample quantity. By the way, the series titled ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, is loosely based on British author Jane Austen’s famous novel ‘Sense and Sensibility’.
The basic story of the show is about a girl raised by her singleton mom Mrs. Arora, who runs a marriage hall to earn her bread and butter. Mrs. Arora is a typical Punjabi woman living in the Chembur area of Mumbai, who loves gossiping with her female pals over drinks every evening. In the trailer, we see Mrs. Arora engaged in a serious conversation about her daughter. The loudmouthed woman goes on to promise herself to find the right groom for her dear daughter.
This makes us conclude that the basic premise of the show is about a girl who has to go through the rigours of the marriage market to find her Mr. Right! Anyway, we are yet to see Sriti Jha of ‘Balika Vadhu’ and ‘Saubhagyavati Bhavah’ fame in the promos. But, word has it the girl has been given a nice makeover to play the part.
