Diya aur Baati Hum: Much ado about ‘ladoos’
Sooraj and Sandhya never hesitate to stand up for each other whenever needed and we saw something similar happen in the recent episode.
Like we told you earlier, Chhavi is about to get married and her in-laws had come over to the Rathi’s place for the pre-marital rites. While the families and guests sat down to enjoy the wedding feast, they were also served sweetmeats on their plates. Apparently everyone was seen relishing every bite of their sweets except Sooraj who refrained from even tasting them. Later, when a little boy from the Bridegroom’s side tried to feed him a ladoo by his own hand as a part of a custom, Sooraj politely declined the offer much to everyone’s shock. Thus, he ended up inviting flak from the guests present there who looked offended. However, Sooraj told them to take any offence as he has vowed not to eat sweets till his wife Sandhya wins the IPS best cadet trophy and will continue to stand up for her because believes in equality in marriage. It reminded everyone of the time when Sandhya helped him win the best chef competition in Singapore.
All in all, it was an emotional moment and it left Sandhya and the critics deeply touched. Sweet, wasn’t it?
