CINTAA intervenes to solve differences between ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ actors Anas Rashid, Deepika Singh!
The slapgate incident featuring the lead actors of Shashi Sumeet Productions’ ‘Diya Aur Baati Him’ had affected the atmosphere on the set of the show. For the uninitiated, Deepika Singh aka Sandhya had slapped Anas Rashid (Suraj) for touching her at the wrong place while shooting for a romantic scene. This did not go down well with Deepika and later, she ended up slapping Anas when he barged in aggressively while she was hold a serious discussion the incident with her director.
The scandal caused much stir on and off the sets and it became a talk of the town. So much so that rumours were rife about Anas’s probable ouster from the show.
But now, things have fallen into place as Deepika and Anas have patched-up due to (The Cine and TV Artistes Association’s (CINTAA) timely intervention. A news site reports that after a long discussion with the members of CINTAA, the actors shook hands and resolved their differences.
That’s a well-thought decision on Deepika and Anas’s part and their fans will now be able to heave a sigh of relief.
