When I signed ‘Swim team’, I had never imagined this show would become a hit: Ishaan Singh Manhaas
Actor Ishaan Singh Manhaas of ‘Ek Mutthi Aasmaan’ and ‘Hamari Sister Didi’ fame is currently playing the role of Jugnu Singh in ‘Swim Team’ on channel V.
The actor is in a happy mood these days as ‘Swim Team’ has climbed to the Numero Uno position across all music and youth channels.
“I am very happy and proud to be part of Swim Team. When I signed this show, I had never imagined this would happen. The audience has liked our characters and that's what makes us actors happy. Hopefully we maintain the top position in the coming weeks and month,” says Ishaan.
What has worked for the show, ask him. And, he says, “A lot of things like...Unique Concept based on swimmers and coaches and how their personal life affects their career and dreams. A young cast and crew that are full of energy and creativity. A very well written story and screenplay and a top youth channel like Channel V which has promoted the show really well,” answers the young actor.
Ishaan also loves the fact that the show has been his playground where he gets to a god scope to showcase his acting talent. “This the first time I am playing a grey shade character. Plus I also get into comical situations. So i get a variety of scenes which showcase different shades of my character. In this show i feel more free infront of camera and i enjoy every scene of mine,” says Ishaan.
Talking about his memorable sequence in the show, he says, “There are a few I would like to share. First, when i had to dance crazy and funny like a drunk in a party scene. Second, when I had to sing very badly in a comical scene. Third, when I had to act drunk in scenes and my co-stars thought that I was actually drunk in real. Fourth, when we shot night scenes in a jungle for a week.”
Ask him if he would recommend swimming as a form of exercise, he says, “Yes of course. It's a great form of cardio exercise which burns calories without sweating much. It also stretches your body and muscles and does not harm your joints. It’s good for your lungs and heart too.”
