‘Bigg Boss 8’ Day 46: Puneet’s comeback shocks all; Diandra beats Pritam to become the new captain!

The day begins with housemates getting shocked to see Puneet back. However, all begin wondering why Puneet has been jailed in the garden area.

P3G and Sonali receive him genuinely but others give him a fake welcome. BB declares that Puneet has been given a last chance to stay in the house and the decision to oust him has been left to the voters. But as a punishment, Puneet is supposed to stay in the jail till Saturday and he is barred from enjoying all luxuries.

After a while, Karishma, Upen and others from their team go about gossiping and whining inside the changing room. Upen says that BB should bring back Sukirti and Soni too when Puneet has been given a chance. Arya says why BB kicked him out in the first place when he was supposed to be brought back?

Back in the garden area, Puneet gets mad at Ali for inciting Arya and others for making an appeal to BB to get Puneet disqualified as he is a strong contender in the game. Puneet further reprimands Ali for being a two-faced man and chides him for his actions.

In the afternoon, Puneet eats lunch with Praneet, Gautam and Pritam and says P3G is unbreakable and when we have not done anything wrong then why should we bother.

After lunch, Praneet gets into a tiff with Arya, Sushant and Diandra when he tries clarifying Puneet’s stand. He reasons with all of them that Puneet’s intention was not wrong.

The trio gets into a heated conversation with Praneet. Praneet justifies his stand for Puneet by saying that he even stood up for Arya when Puneet bashed him. The trio deny witnessing Praneet defending Arya during that episode.

Arya says Praneet did not fight for him the way he fought for Sonali when Diandra manhandled her during one of the tasks.

Praneet gets upset with the denials and says how blatantly Arya is lying.

Later, Arya visits the confession room on BB’s call and puts forth his views about Puneet’s comeback. He says Puneet is like a family friend for him which is why he was baffled at the way he used force to overpower him during the week’s task. He further says being a hot-blooded male, he could have retaliated to teach Puneet a lesson but he refrained from doing so because he has a class. Arya expresses extreme disappointment at BB decision to bring back Puneet when it was proved his action was unwarranted.

BB pacifies Arya by saying he is considering it easy to put Puneet in jail but the torture being inflicted on him is more mental than physical. BB adds that Puneet should be given a chance to redeem his wrongdoing as he has been apologetic about his deed. BB also says that being in the jail is a blow to someone’s self-esteem, hence Arya should think from BB’s point of view. Arya says he will think about BB’s decision in peaceful moments and takes leave from BB.

In the afternoon, all the housemates assemble in the living area for BB’s next task. The BB asks Upen to nominate 2 contestants for the captaincy position. Upen chooses Diandra and Pritam for the job. However, the camera zooms at Puneet’s jail where he is shown saying how wrong the decision to choose Diandra is for the captaincy post. He reasons that Diandra is very choosy about household chores and gets defensive when people touch her even slightly during luxury budgets tasks.

BB makes an announcement for captaincy elections in which all the housemates are given free will to vote for their favorite contender. While, Praneet, Gautam and Sonali vote for Pritam, Karishma, Ali, Arya and Upen vote in Diandra’s favour.

Diandra wins the captaincy elections by 1 vote and takes charge of her role immediately at BB’s behest.

As dusk sets in, model cum actress Lisa Haydon visits the BB house and her entry takes everyone by surprise. For the whole 1 hour she stays inside the house, the negativity spread in the atmosphere subsides a bit. Lisa takes everyone to the garden area and herself attends to a grocery kiosk installed for luxury budgets shopping. She hands out food items to the housemates based on the points given to them by BB and simultaneously promotes her upcoming film ‘Shaukeens’ co-starring Akshay Kumar.

After indulging in lot of banter and fun with the contestants, Lisa bids goodbye to the housemates.

At night, Gautam notices the dirty kitchen clothes being kept near drinking water and complains to BB on camera. He brings Diandra’s attention towards the unclean items kept by the kitchen team, but she gives a cold shoulder to his complaint by saying the kitchen team does not pay heed to her directions.
