“I felt cheated; I was hurt,” – says Sushant Divgikar on Karishma Tanna’s makeup issue
Sushant Divgikar, Mr Gay India 2014 is the recent one to bid goodbye from Bigg Boss 8 house. During his stint in the Bigg Boss house, Sushant has always been the fair mind. His closest confidantes in the house were Diandra, Upen and Karishma. Ever since Sushant entered the Bigg Boss house, he ensured that his opinions were voiced and he actively participated in all the tasks. Soon after the eviction, Pinkvilla.com caught him over the phone and Sushant revealed things which he disliked and why he wanted to come out from the house. Read on:
How has been your stay in the house?
It was a roller coaster ride for me. A fun ride it has been. However I was fed up in last few days.
Why? Were you expecting to get voted out?
Yes I had expected to come out this week. I wanted to come out. There was too much of negativity and bitching in the house. They are either gossiping or fighting. Fight and gossip and nothing else to do there. It was claustrophobic inside for me. I am glad I got to come out when I wanted to.
After Karishma's makeup episode, what is your opinion of her?
She is not afraid to call a spade a spade. That is what I like about her. She may be insensitive, but that she is what she is. She is clear about what she want. She is here not to make friends or family. She wanted her makeup and she was clear about it. I don't hold grudges against her or anybody else.
When she chose makeup over you, did you imagine that she would back stab you?
I felt cheated that time. I was hurt. But as I said, she was clear of her intentions. Now, if I am gay and you don't like me, that's not my problem, you have to deal with it. If a person doesn't talk much, I can't make that person talk. I will have to acknowledge the person and not complain. So if Karishma felt she was right to choose her makeup over me she was right. And we have definitely sorted out the issue and I acknowledge her decision.
Do you know the wild card entrants personally?
Yes. I have met Renee at a party and then I have met her on several occasions. I know Dimpy personally since her modeling days and post her marriage we have many mutual friends.
Do you think they will change the chemistry of the house?
Wild card entrants have always been put up for masala factor and because they will bring up some entertainment. And people in the name of entertainment like to see fights, abuses, someone using martial arts and grappling a person. But, for me its negative entertainment. It is vulgar form of entertainment. People are so different and have different opinion. They try to prove their strength by starting a fight. I am glad I came out with my head held high.
Your 'Whatever' attitude didn't go well with many. What made you so impatient?
I was made an empty target. I was on antibiotics. I did the task for 5-6 hours and then I had to go to the loo. I couldn't shit my pants. I was not well. Hence, I chose to leave.
What is your opinion on Puneet, Sonali and Gautam:
Puneet: No comments on him. I don’t to discuss any wrong issue.
Sonali: She is gravely misunderstood. She is damn good. She is shown on the wrong light. I don’t know why she is being targeted. And let me tell you there is nothing going between Sonali and Upen or Gautam. Just because she is a girl and getting cozy with male friends means she is wrong? Even I sit on Arya’s lap or sit next to Diandra or Upen…that does that mean I am wrong? People’s perception is wrong. Why don’t people point out when Gautam roams around in the house shirtless? Isn’t that vulgar? Sonali is 23, she is a contestant here…abiding by the rules she is just a part of the show as much as others are.
Gautam: He is arrogant, rude. I don’t want to say anything about him.
You went inside with a purpose...to represent the Gay community. How far have you personally succeeded?
I have really lived up to it. I am happy I have come out as clean person.
