Shweta Munshi - Unplugged: Can play roles other than mother and wife! (In Pics)
Shweta P Munshi, who has done shows like ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’, ‘Dor’ and
‘Punar Vivah’ is back with Siddharth Kumar Tewary's new show ‘Bandhan’
which is based on a unique relationship between an elephant and a
loving family.
Shweta shared tidbits about her new screen role in ‘Bandhan’ by saying, “After almost 2 years I am back on television and my character Prabha Karnick is a loving wife and a caring mother of a girl. I am
enjoying every day on the set as I get to share screen space and time with
a girl who is playing my daughter."
The actress has mostly played characters
of a loving wife and mother and feels that she is capable of doing more on-screen.
"While, I was taking my acting course, I was taught that as a human
being what we are from inside reflects in our performance too. But let
me tell you that I am capable of doing other roles also and given a
chance, I would love to portray that."
Shweta's performance in
‘Punar Vivah’ as Arpita was appreciated by the audience. Talking
about the series, Shweta told us," Initially I was offered Aarti's character
but due to some reason it went to Kratika, but I have no regrets as
playing Arpita made me popular and at the same time people have
recognised my talent."
