Balika Vadhu: January 6, Shiv-Anandi decide to adopt a handicapped boy
Ganga is about to trip as she gets up to take a jug of water. Luckily, Dadisaa gets up that very minute and she is saved. Dadisaa get angry at her and Ganga feels lucky to get so much love. She is told to use a cane to call out to Dadisaa so that she doesn’t even have to do something as less as using her voice. The next day, Ganga tries to get out of bed because she hears Manu crying. But Dadisaa brings the little boy to his mother so that they can spend some time together. Seeing a plaster on Manu’s hand, Ganga gets very upset but the family tells her to be assured since he’s being taken care of.
Meanwhile, Shiv and Anandi come to donate warm clothes for the winter season to the orphanage. They both see a handicapped boy drawing and find out everything about him. The warden mentions that he has arthritis and he has been shifted here recently from Jaipur. Anandi finds it very unfair that handicapped children are very rarely adopted and Shiv understands that she wants to adopt that boy. The couple decides to talk to the family but receives a lot of resistance from Ira. They still want to go ahead with the adoption anyway.
