Balika Vadhu: 9 Jan, Shiv and Anandi's 1st Anniversary
Anandi reaches the orphanage and over hears the conversation between the adoption officer, Sonaliji and the warden. She tries her level best to explain to Sonaliji that Saanchi's opinion was her own and not the rest of the family's, but she still insists on putting this into her report.
Sumitra apologizes to Ganga for leaving her and going to visit Anandi and Shiv on their anniversary but Ganga tells her mother-in-law to not worry about this because Anandi has equal rights on her. She says that she completely understands that this will make Anandi twice as happy and then hands over a little present for the couple.
Anandi has reached home and she tells Shiv all that happened at the orphanage. She is really sad with the happenings but Shiv still tells her that all isn't over yet. Only the report has been submitted and until the orphanage says no, Anandi shouldn't lose hope. He tells her that it's been a year to their marriage and if all's gone well until now, there is no reason why it won't go well in the future.
The preparations for the party have been completed and the entire family awaits the couple in the living room. When they finally arrive, all the members of the family give them best wishes for their entire lives. Shiv's Daddu has an emotional moment as he remembers his deceased wife saying that she would be very happy to see the two of them together.
Meanwhile, in Jaitsar, Dadisa is eagerly searching for something in her room. Later it is revealed that she is looking for a prayer beads. In order to find them, she gets a pull in her waist and Ganga gets concerned about Dadisa sleeping on the floor in this cold season.
Celebrations are in full swing in the Shekhar household when Sumitra and Bhairav arrive. After congratulating each other, they head to meet Anandi and Shiv. Sumitra hands over Ganga's gift and a letter to Anandi that Anandi reads aloud. She wishes Anandi all the best for the future and states her sadness at not being present at the occasion. While everyone is enjoying themselves, Saanchi once again decides to be the party-pooper and brings alcohol for her friends. The episode ends as Saanchi takes a sip of her alcoholic beverage and expresses her hatred towards Jagiya's parents.
