SONY’S BADE ACHHE LAGTE HAIN TO END IN SIX MONTHS?
Bade Achhe Lagte Hain after a good three years, could see its end in May 2014. According to a source from the show, the production house feels that the story is getting dragged and the audiences who tuned into see the love story of a mature couple aren’t getting any of that.
The show started with a promise of being completely different from a run-of-the-mill saas-bahu, soppy drama without unnecessary time leaps delivering good ratings. But now it’s becoming just the opposite with a subsequent drop TRPs. These days the story revolves around the now elderly couple’s 20 something daughter and her various love interests.
Ram Kapoor seemed to have no clue about the ending of the show and suggested that only the channel would be able to throw light on this matter. Sneha Rajani, Senior EVP and Business Head, Sony Entertainment commented, “May seems too far away to take any decisions for it right now. That’s a lifetime in TV. Personally, I’d want it to run forever.”
Well, considering the dropping ratings, if Sony Entertainment wishes for audiences to say ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ for the show, they’ll have to up their game. Or they might as well drop the curtains for this one!
