Mahabharat: What happened after Karna’s death?
Karna’s death was inevitable as he was siding with falsehood all his life. Moreover, his ambitions to overthrow Arjun were not valid.
When the hour of his death arrived, however, Karna readily accepted to die as he had realized that it will be beneficial for the world if he agrees to embrace death.
As a result, Arjun shoots his special arrow on him and Karna falls down almost dead on the ground. His mother Kunti arrives on the spot and takes his head on her lap. She cries inconsolably for her son’s fate which shocks the Pandavas. The brothers ask her why she is crying for an enemy. Kunti reveals that Karna is their elder brother and he had promised her not to kill her other sons except Arjun.
This truth freezes the Pandav brothers and they sink into deep remorse for having been killed their own brother. Karna’s foster mother Radha and his wife Vrushali also come on the scene. Radha abuses Kunti angrily for taking away her son’s life. Karna, however, consoles her and tells Radha that she should not be sad as it was because Kunti abandoned him, that he came into her life as son.
On the other hand, Shakuni tells Duryodhan that now even the son of suta has deceived them and they worry about their loss.
The revelation about Karna’s identity won’t go down well with the Pandavas. Watch this space to know how they react to know that unknowingly they have done a sin by killing their brother.
