Mahabharat: Krishna saves Arjun from Takshak’s attack by a trick!
The duel between Arjun and his arch rival Karna took an interesting turn recently as the latter invoked Serpent King Takshak to sit on his arrow and finish off his enemy.
As per Krishna’s advice, Arjun created a protective shield to save himself from the poisonous arrow but the idea did not work. Looking at Arjun’s failed attempt to save his life, Krishna uses his will to change the position of his chariot. As a result, the arrow misses its target and goes on to hit a soldier instead.
Next, Krishna starts driving away the chariot into another direction but Arjun protests to resume the fight with Karna. Arjun argues that he does not want to look like a coward by running away from Karna. But Krishna reasons that what everyone say does not matter as people mock at him for being Arjun’s charioteer.
Meanwhile, Karna too starts chasing Arjun to kill him. Suddenly, the wheel of his chariot gets stuck into the earth. He asks Shalya to get that wheel removed but the latter refuses to do so. Karna gets off the chariot to remove it himself, and just then, Krishna asks Arjun to kill his enemy.
Karna tells Arjun that it will be injustice if he gets killed without any weapon in his hand to defend himself. However, Krishna says that it was injustice on Karna’s part when he called Draupadi as ‘prostitute’ in the Hastinapur court, ad even when he killed a defenceless Abhimanyu.
Karna tries to defend his action by arguing that he stabbed Abhimanyu as he wanted him to get over his pain on a final note. However, the memory of Abhimanyu’s death angers Arjun and he tells Karna to save himself before sunset.
Karna tries invoking the Brahma Astra but fails to do so due to his act of deceit when he was training with his Guru Parshurama.
As he realizes that the time of his death has arrived, Karna surrenders to Krishna and Arjun. No prizes for guessing that Karna will be killed by Arjun. Wait for our next update to know what happens after Karna’s death as it means that the war is almost over.
