In the recent episode, Kunti’s first son, Karna, finally met his dead end in Kurukshetra but only after much convincing by Krishna. Karna was given a chance by Arjun to invoke Brahma’s weapon before sunset else accept death. The Sun God’s son tried remembering the mantra to invoke the weapon but could not do so. Just then, Krishna froze the time and helped Karna in remembering his preceptor, Parshurama’s, curse.

Krishna further told him that Karna’s idea to gain knowledge was to get better than Arjun. But ideally, he should have made use of knowledge to run his own race. Moreover, he sided with Duryodhan who is an embodiment of evil itself. So now, it is better for Karna to accept death as it will help in establishing peace in the world.

Hearing Krishna’s counsel, Karna readily agrees to die and apologises to Kunti and Draupadi for his sins. Krishna orders Arjun to fire the arrow at Karna.

The arrow hits Karna’s head and he falls down dead with a loving smile on his face. Looking at a dead Karna, tears roll down Arjun’s eyes. And back at the camp, a lotus flowers kept near Kunti burns off and she realizes that Karna is no more alive.
