Priyanka Chopra gets emotional on the sets of KBC
Priyanka Chopra, who plays boxer Mary Kom in the Sept 5 release, came as a guest on Kaun Banega Crorepati. The episode starts with entry of Priyanka Chopra with the hauslebaaz contestant Usha Vishwakarma who is the founder of NGO Red Brigade.
Usha had been the victim of an attempted rape by a co-worker at the age of 18, and after that she decided that something needed to be done against the growing insecurity of women in India. An emotional Priyanka Chopra applauds Usha and talks about other victims are their plight. Big B expresses his shock and despair at the plight of rape victims in our country, to which Priyanka replies that every woman should learn how to defend herself against difficult situations like this.
Only on Big B’s request Priyanka sings her international hit single ‘In my City’. Red Brigade sings their organisation's inspiration anthem. Usha then gives tips to women on how to stay safe. PC expresses her desire to be associated to Usha's organisation Red Brigade.
Moving on to the fun part, during a question Amitabh Bachchan acts out different types of boxing moves i.e. upper cut, etc. Both AB and PeeCee indulge in a little bit of mock boxing with each other after which the actor says that she was influenced by his movie Naseeb. Mary Kom director Omung Kumar was also present supporting PC.
