Veebha and Abhishek’s one-take shot for intimate scene in ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan’
In the weekend episode of MTV’s youth-based show ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan’, we got to see a sizzling romantic sequence of Abhishek Malik (playing Harshad) and Veebha Anand (playing Navya). Popularly known as the ‘Navshad’ couple, the duo had a lip lock scene together.
Though the on-screen couple have been great friends for a while, the crew did notice an air of awkwardness between the two. The actors were extremely professional during the lip-lock scenes and Veebha says, “Harshad was feeling very low on the emotional front. And after Navya confesses her feelings, the couple gets intimate. So before the scene was shot, we made each other feel comfortable.” The show is well-known for its modern-day twist and Veebha made sure she goes beyond the limits. “I pushed myself beyond my capacity and that’s what we actors do. At first I was uncomfortable because of the content and I knew it very well before the show started. I knew what I was getting into so when this part came, I obviously couldn't back out.
The creative team made sure intimate scenes that they provide the correct ambiance for the actors to feel it real. And that’s exactly why Veebha didn’t hesitate. “I fell in love with the set. Candles, balloons, lights and our dress…everything was so perfect! One can’t help but feel romantic. I think our intimate scene was Okayed in one shot,” revealed Veebha.
