VIDEO ALERT: Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim's Haldi ceremony proves the true love they have for each other

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim caught everyone’s attention when the rumours of their affair started doing the rounds. They have been one of the popular onscreen couples and now, the two are all set to take the plunge. The two have been with each other in all their ups and downs. Though the couple initially denied the relationship rumors, but later accepted their love for each other out in open. In an earlier interview, Dipika revealed the reason of not making their relationship in initial phase. 

She had said, "I wanted to be sure that this relationship wasn't on the rebound. Also, we were getting to know each other better. No matter how progressive we become, being a divorcee has some kind of a social stigma attached to it in our society. I had that stamp on me. But he gave me that space and despite being aware of my past, never complained about it. He has in fact always respected that. Coming from a small town, even his parents never let me feel that. I have always longed for family. Ammi sends dabba for me when my mother is not there. I feel I am more close to his mom than him. Everything is positive and we are more at peace now." 

Shoaib, in an interview, had said, "I will always support her in all decisions that make her happy. My reason to quit the show was that I was dissatisfied as an actor. However, Dipika quit because she was physically drained out. It was not easy for her to quit after six years, because as an actor, you get emotionally attached to your show. Nevertheless, we are both happy with our decision."

Both are of different religions, but that was never an issue for Dipika and Shoaib. Talking about it, the stunning actress had said, "It was never an issue between us as we have our priorities sorted. We are mature people and understand each other well. Be it work or personal life, we take all decisions together as that’s how our relationship has been formed."

She further spoke about their relationship saying, "Whenever I talk about relationships, people say you are too gyaani (laughs). But I think a relationship is built by a lot of things put together and not just on one aspect. There has to be respect, transparency, loyalty, trust and a lot of love. Also, with Shoaib and me, we have still retained our friendship and that has helped us a lot. Even now, we indulge in our pillow fights and he smacks me in front of people. It’s the best way as to become lifelong partners, you have to first be each other’s best friends."
