A teary-eyed Smriti Irani takes a walk down memory lane; Pays her 1st house in Gurugram a visit after 35 years
Union Minister and popular television actress, Smriti Irani pay her first house in Gurugram a visit. Take a look at her getting overwhelmed with Nostalgia.
As they say, “Home is where is the heart is”, we all seem to get a bit teary-eyed on the mention of our first home. The first house, where one grows up, always holds a special place in your heart. Thus, revisiting the first house is always a nostalgic experience. Same was the case with our Union Minister and a popular Television actress, Smriti Irani. After 35 years, the Kyunki actress visited her home in Gurugram and was overwhelmed with memories.
On the request of her close friend and producer, Ekta Kapoor, Smriti Irani decided to go back to the old house. But she wasn’t prepared to see what she saw. On seeing the house being changed completely into a workshop, she broke down and expressed her feelings. Through her tears and emotions, one can sense her deep connection with her first ever house where she grew up. You can see her explaining where the kitchen was and how she along with her siblings used to hide when their mom came back home. With so many memories she shares, you can see the joy on her face on revisiting each of those moments.

In the video, you can see her feeling terrible when she sees that her first abode has been converted into a Dry Cleaners’ shop. Also, she can be seen reminiscing about the good old days at this house in Gurugram. During the visit, she also went to the neighbourhood shops where she as a kid would go to. Now, as a Union Minister, she hardly gets time for personal things. However, this trip to her old home gave her a chance to relive all the memories of her childhood all over again.
