With Valentine's day around the corner, Mukta Art's Connect 1 brings to you a sweet message wrapped in a subtle yet amusing style through Queen of Hearts! The 7-minute short film written and directed by Abhimanyu Kanodia introduces you to the Mehta family where Mrs. Mehta, a simple housewife (Smita Jayakar) has never celebrated Valentines. To this, her son and husband (Darshan Jariwala) decide to be her valentine on the day and take her out on a dinner date. This triggers a healthy competition between the two to win her heart. Mrs. Mehta on the other hand thoroughly enjoys the bliss of the healthy war. The entire Valentines week, the lady is pampered with beautiful gifts and refreshing bouquets followed by romantic shaayris, each single day. After having enjoyed the best of pampering and love, Mrs. Mehta, on the day of decision refuses to be the Valentine for both and chooses someone else. Well, when two quarrel, the third rejoices, after all! Watch the video and find out who is the 'Third' one.

In a candid tete a tete with us, the cast expounded on the fun and frolic times they spent while shooting. "We had a lot of fun," says Smita who will soon be seen as Sonakshi Sinha's mother in Akira. "I loved the energy these youngsters have and working with Darshan is always cool." While Darshan stated, "I was very impressed by their performance. Though newcomers, they had a clarity towards work and knew what they wanted. And working with Smita is always a delight since she has a great sense of humour." Avinash Tiwary and Aahana Kumra who play important roles in the film said that despite being such veteran and bigwigs of the acting industry, Darshan and Smita were extremely down to earth and made them very comfortable. "They do not even have an inch of attitude, rather they got involved and cracked every kind of joke", said Avinash.

On talking about the ideology of Valentines, Darshan said that a Valentine is the one who can make us laugh, smile and happy. While Smita said,"It is something from the west that we have derived and are following. Though there is nothing wrong in it." The very bubbly Aahana who considers her pet cat to be her Valentine said, that she would love her man to take her mom out on Valentines. "I would love my partner to go out of his way and do something special for my mother on Valentines, And trust, me if he does that I would never leave that guy!" She laughed.

Relationships nowadays are more likely to break as compared to the relations built in by the previous gen. To this, Smita and Avinash couldn't agree more! "The level of tolerance has gone down to minus zero." said Smita. "Today, everybody is financially independent, unlike our generation where we had to make adjustments, so they find it easy to walk off. Though, it is fair enough!" Avinash too felt something similar. He said, "There is no sense of durability. We get bored easily in life, be it with phones or relations. There should be a sense of commitment which is missing."

Further,  while talking about the film, Smita could not stop smiling. "After years, did I get to play the central character. The movie revolves around me and obviously is a special to me." While Darshan said that the beautiful short film around Valentine’s Day, shows how this day should be celebrated with entire family and not in isolation with your partners.

Going by the lines of the film's storyline, a lady who works for us day and night, without holding onto any expectations in return deserves a Valentine's celebration rather each day, for she truly is the Queen of Hearts!
