Amrita Rao ventures into small screen with &TV's Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai

The first look of & TV's Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai surprised audiences on seeing Amrita Rao venture onto the small screen. What surprised the audiences more was that in her first soap itself, she seems to have taken quite a big challenge of portraying the younger version of India's Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar.

Produced by Nivedita Basu, Meri Aawaz Hi Pehchaan Hai is said to revolve around the strained relationship between Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosale. Though the makers are tight-lipped about creating any kind of controversies by agreeing to the buzz. But the look of Deepti Naval and Zarina Wahab in the prom clearly indicates the storyline to be revolving around the personal and professional relationship between the two stalwarts of the music Industry.

To be aired on & TV, it will be Amrita's first ever show on small screen. After giving hits like Ishq Vishq, Main Hoon Na, Vivah, it will be interesting to see Rao essay a the role of a legendary singer. While Aditi Vasudev will essay the younger version of Asha Bhosale, Deepti Naval and Zarina Wahab will be seen portraying the older version of the two Mangeshkar sisters.
