Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is about to witness some more drama as Naira tries to keep the Goenka family together and stand by Kartik.
Manish is upset due to Akhilesh’s behaviour as on such a happy occasion, he had created a scene. Akhilesh is in pain, he says. He is bottled up since a very long time. He starts counting the number of times he had felt insulted. He goes on to tell how in front of staff, Manish had scolded him around 219 times, 635 times he was asked to get the the files, and 368 times he got the phone and so on! Manish is shocked that he counted all the troublesome things.
Naira asks him to also count all other things such as how many times Manish might have hugged him and cared for him, stood for him and so many other things. She is upset as to why hasn’t he taken all those things in account. Kartik compares him to a child and Akhilesh loses his calm. Kartik requests him to put these things to an end. Naira affirms that this house will never break apart and separation is not a chance. However, Akhilesh and Surekha leave and Dadi weeps.
On the other hand, Badidadi, Dadi and Nani get their hands on an old photo album and get nostalgic. They talk about how life is a combination of happiness and sorrows, situations may take a leap with time, and discuss how family’s peace is dependent on their unity and closeness with each other.
Besides, tension is mounting and Naira gets dizzy and Naksh gets worried. Naira calms him and tells him that her health is not an issue but Chachu’s perception about family is. Suhasini ji prays and Keerti and Suvarna console Manish along with Kartik, but he feels that Akhilesh’s anger is harbouring since long and was not momentary. Naitik, on the other hand, receives a phone call from a journalist confirming a rift between his in-laws! This, in turn, gets Naitik furious.
Akhilesh packs his bag and Surekha questions his behaviour towards Naira. He defends himself saying that she wasn’t ready to listen, he asks Surekha to apologise on behalf of him. He receives a phone call from someone named Bhai and thanks him for supporting him! Dadi connects this with how something similar already happened before. Luv and kush cry as they don’t want to leave.
Naira wants to have a word with Akhielsh but Manish and Dadi stop her as she should take rest, but she rebels. She won’t be relieved till the time she resolves the issue. Naksh and Naitik ask Naira to go back to her home as stress can cause problems in her recovery.
But Naira refuses to leave Kartik in such a situation. She says that doesn’t agree and does not want to repeat her mistake as she wants to fulfill her duties and responsibilities. She motivates Kartik to stand by their family, Naksh and Keerti leave and she assures them that she’ll take care of herself but also not let the separation happen
