Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai May 8, 2019 Written Update: Mihir and Kartik argue

In the previous episode, we see Kartik and Naira are selected to make designer jewellery for a royal family. Later, Dadi tries to stop Naira from attending a meeting. Naira tells Suhasini that she had to leave as the function was over, however, Suhasini tells Naira that if was in such a rush she shouldn’t have kept the function. Naira tells Suhasini that if at all she would have informed everyone prior, everyone would have been prepared and they wouldn’t have so much stress. She tells Suhasini that in spite of the last minute announcement of the ritual, she had delayed going to her meeting and got involved in the function. In the meantime, Kartik triggered the fire alarm with an intention to get the meeting delayed, so that Naira would be able to reach by the time they settle.

Seeing Naira not reach for the meeting yet, the Sindhyas and the Jadejas decide to post pone the meeting for the next day. Naira reach at the venue and tries to talk to Mihir. Mihir behaves indifferent and leaves from there. Naira follows Mihir and reaches the office. She apologised to Mihir and tells him that she had no excuse or reason for him. She tells him that her personal problems were for her to deal and for that her work should not have been hampered. She earnestly seeks apology and promises Mihir to not make the same mistake again. Seeing Naira not making any excuse for her fault, Mihir gives her a warning and tells her that he was giving her a last chance, as he found Naira honest. Mihir also tells Naira that she had to be more disciplined and that she should make full use of the opportunity. He gives Naira a file which contained a list of all the requirements from the clients and tells her to get back to work and prepare two designs of each requirements.

Mihir asks Naira to submit her phone as he did not want her to be distracted while making the designs and commit another error. Naira texts Kartik about being late and gives her phone to Mihir. Later, Kartik goes to Mihir’s office and sees Naira work alone in the office. He finds the security person sleeping and Mihir was out while Naira was alone in the office. Just when he was about to enter, Mihir comes and stops Kartik. Kartik gets angry on Mihir and tells him that he should be responsible towards his female staffs. He blames Mihir for not keeping adequate security for Naira working alone at night as he was able to enter the office without any restrictions while the security guy slept. The blame game starts and Kartik gets involved in a heated argument with Mihir. In rage Kartik tells Mihir that Naira was not working for him as she was in dire need of work, but because she wanted to pursue her passion and that if Mihir was not considerate towards her, he would not let his wife work in the office.

Kartik enters the office and gets Naira outside to make her leave with him however, Naira demanded to know the reason of the rift. Kartik tells her that he had told Mihir that she would no longer work for him. Naira leaves with Kartik and they stop to eat ice-cream. Seeing Naira quiet the whole time, Kartik tells her to speak. Naira tells him that there was no need for her to speak as he had spoken on her behalf and there was nothing left to say. Kartik tries to explain his concern to Naira and tells her how worried he was seeing her alone in the office while there was no security around. Naira tells Kartik that if something had to happen, it could happen anywhere and that it was an office where she was, which had CCTV cameras and security. She told Kartik that she could understand his protectiveness but lecturing someone else about it wasn’t right. Here, Suhasini calls Gayu and complains about Naira’s carelessness which spoiled had spoiled the function.

She comes out and tells Samarth about how unhappy Suhasini was with Naira going to work. The next morning, Shukla comes and finds the papers on which Naira had made her designs. Mihir tells him to throw the papers in the dustbin as Naira had left the job and tells him to interview few candidates for the job. After having a look at Naira’s designs, Mihir tells Mitali that the girl aka Naira, was talented but lacked discipline, commitment and that her personal problems were never ending. In the meantime, the Goenkas were having breakfast together when Manish points out that everyone was making a mountain of a mole these days and that every problem was highlighted. He noticed Naira and Kartik keep quiet and asks them what the problem was. Naira tells everyone that she had left the job and that she did not have to go to the office. Manish gets shocked to hear Naira’s decision while Swarna doubts Suhasini to be the reason why Naira chose to leave her job. Naira tells Manish that the job did not suit her and she chose to discontinue. Suhasini appreciates Naira’s decision and tells her to work with Kartik. Naira makes an excuse to leave the table and breaks down, feeling helpless and lead.
