Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai August 8, 2019 Written Update: Kartik is in for a shock
Today in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, we see how Naira gets Kairav ready for the operation while the Goenkas make preparations for Kartik and Vedika's Haldi ceremony. Later, Kartik is in for a huge shock.
In the last episode, we see how Kartik apologises to Vedika and performs with her during their sangeet ceremony. Later, he consoles Naira over a call, unaware that it is her. Naira gets Kairav ready for the operation and convinces him that after the operation he would get cured. Kairav tells Naira to call Kartik to be by his side, however, Naira manages to divert his mind. Naira prays to God and thank him for the help that was offered to her by Kartik. Soon the nurse takes on Kairav for few tests before the surgeon comes in. Kairav questions Naira about the tests but before she could explain him, his head starts to spin. The nurse and the doctor in-charge gets worried. Naira panics and tells the doctor to call Dr. Pallavi. The doctor informs Naira that due to a rally, there was traffic all over Udaipur and that the surgeon and Dr. Pallavi were stuck in it.
Here, Vansh gets curious to see the women prepare the turmeric paste for the bride and the groom while the Goenkas prepare for Kartik and Vedika’s haldi ceremony. The bowl of the turmeric paste falls accidentally and Suhasini fears a bad omen to follow. They all gather and pray for an auspicious marriage. Suhasini tells everyone that she was not ready to let any bad omen become a hurdle in the marriage and ensure that everything goes smooth. Suhasini commands everyone to put on a happy face and carry on with the ritual. Later, Manish motivates Kartik and shares his struggle with Kartik. Manish tells Kartik that although he was in a doubt, but he was doing the right thing by getting married to Vedika and that Naira would have wished for the same.
Elsewhere, Naira gets worried, as Kairav’s health was deteriorating. She panics and tries calling Dr. Pallavi. Since her phone was not reachable, Naira hurriedly sends her a text to Pallavi but instead of her, she mistakenly sends it to Kartik. Naira informs about Kairav’s falling pulse rate and deteriorating condition and requested the doctor to reach as soon as she could. Kairav, in his half-unconscious state, was continuously wanting to see Kartik, which made Naira panic. Kartik sees Kairav's mother's text and gets shocked to learn about Kairav's health.
