Written update of Ishqbaaz October 19, 2018: Shivaay tries to strangle Anika

Rudra does not let Shivaay deliver the speech and in front of the media refers to him as a murderer. He then asks Shivaay to leave before he insults him more. Shivaay and Anika are shocked as Rudra delivers the same speech which Shivaay had prepared. This makes it very clear that he had stolen the speech. 

Shivaay is the first one to applaud for Rudra and he is happy to see him so mature and grown up.Anika is pleased with Shivaay’s nature. All the family members congratulate Rudra.and Priyanka feels that Shivaay had something to do with it.

As soon as Shivaay and Anika enter, Rudra asks Shivaay if he wants the credit for the speech. He says that the only reason he stole his speech was to hurt him.

But Shivaay reverts positively and says that he is proud of the way Rudra had delivered it. He is extremely happy as an elder brother. 

At night, as Shivaay gets the flashbacks of him killing Tej, he strangles Anika and harms her. 

Anika pushes him away and as Shivaay comes into consciousness he is baffled and seeks forgiveness. He asks her to stay away from him as he has always hurt her and could not fulfil his vows. He exclaims that she is free!

Anika calms him down and expresses her love. She understands that recovery from the ill past is not that easy. She has the right to be with him during his thick and thin. Shivaay gets a first aid for her and again apologies her. Shivaay leaves and is upset that he can’t give Anika false hopes. He believes that old Shivaay no more exists and staying with her will only cause her more problems. 

Next day on the breakfast table, Anika coughs and Gauri asks her is she is fine.

Anika replies that due to the ice-cream she had eaten yesterday she is suffering from sore throat. She lies that last night she and Shivaay had spent good time under the stars and Shivaay overhears this. 

He runs into Om and greets him, whereas Om ignores him completely. Shivaay then, asks him to stop behaving like a stranger and instead shout at him or even hit him. He requests him to talk to him. But Om replies that there’s nothing left between them besides hatred. 

On the other hand, he sees Priyanka yelling at a house help. On asking, she expresses her hard feelings towards her family. She does not want to be called as a murderer’s sister or daughter. She is ashamed of herself and Shivaay, she cries.

Shivaay tries to embrace her but she shouts at him. She is devastated from inside, and pushes Shivaay out of her room. 

Further, on poolside Bhavya and Gauri notice the marks on Anika’s neck as she tries to hide it. 

Shivaay on the other hand, goes to his rooms and darkens it. He then remembers everything what Priyanka has blamed him for.
