Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah May 7, 2019 Written Update: Surprise guests for dinner at Gada residence
Today we see that Jethalal gets a call from a mysterious couple who invite themselves for dinner at Gada residence.
The episode starts with Jethalal getting up from his sleep as he hears the door bell ring. He gets up to see it's 4am and wonders who could it be at this ungodly hour. He opens the door to find out it's Bapuji. Bapuji feels proud of Jethalal for exposing Sevaklal's scandal. The next day, Tappu is making tea for everyone. Bapuji gets a little upset that Tappu is making tea instead of Jethalal. Jethalal gives an explanation that as a man he needs to know to do the basic household chores. Bapuji asks Jethalal how much of household chores does he know. Just then Tappu comes out with tea. Bapuji asks him why he chose to make tea today. He tells them that he's grownup now and needs to help them in household chores. Just then, Iyer and Babita comes there.
They are offered coffee however Babita declines saying that she drinks coffee only once in a day. Iyer however wants to have coffee. Jethalal offers to make coffee and add masala to it. Iyer declines as well saying he was joking. Iyer and Babita give them a pack of rasgulla. Jethalal gets fruits for them. Bapuji and Jethalal rave about the tea Tappu has prepared. Jethalal answers the call and is able to identify the caller by their voice even before they disclose their name. Babita and Iyer are also impressed with this skill. Just then another call comes and Jethalal is unable to identify the caller this time. After a long conversation, Babita and Iyer decide to leave. The caller still keep taunting Jethalal that he could not identify them. The caller refuses to disclose their identity and tells Jethalal to wait till evening to find out who they are.
They tell Jethalal that they will come in the evening for dinner at his house. Tappu suggests to callback on the number and find out who they were.
Jethalal calls back to know it's a number of a saree vendor who had given his phone to a couple to call since their phone was low on battery. Bapuji tells Jethalal to make arrangements for the dinner. They decide to ask Anjali to prepare dinner for the guests. He approaches Taarak Mehta for help and Taarak Mehta assures him that Anjali will prepare food for them. Anjali tells Jethalal what will be the menu for dinner. Later it is learnt that it was Jethalal's imagination and based on his imagination he declines Anjali to make food. Jethalal later decides to approach Madhavi for help.
