Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah March 25, 2019 update: The emergency meeting to decide on the Singapore trip
Popatlal doesn't budge and is sceptical of the trip while the rest of the members are excited about the trip.
The episode starts with the receptionist asking for everyone's passport to process the application. Popatlal is sceptical about giving the passport to her. She explains how big and reputable company Thomas Cook is. She leaves after reminding them about sending the passports as early as they can. Popatlal is against going to Singapore and still thinks it's a prank. Bhide decides to call for an emergency meeting. Taarak Mehta calla to enquire if the Singapore trip is a hoax or true. Bhide tells him that it is true and tells him that he's calling for an emergency meeting in the evening.
The four men reach the society premises and are welcomed by the rest of the society members. They start discussing the trip when Bhide intervenes and tells them there will be an emergency meeting in the evening and the decision on the Singapore trip will be taken then. The meeting begins and Bhide tells everyone that the Singapore trip has been sponsored by some wellwisher. He also tells them about the condition for the trip wherein Popatlal has to go on the trip in order to make everyone else eligible for the trip. He also tells everyone that the person behind the booking wants to stay unnamed.
The decision to go for the trip planned by someone unknown will be taken now. Almost everyone unanimously agrees to go to for the opportunity however Iyer also is sceptical about the trip. Everyone is trying to convince Iyer and Popatlal about the trip. Jethalal says that it's a golden opportunity to go for a trip together which should not be missed. Iyer is still not convinced and decides against taking the trip. Jethalal thinks it will be wise if the decision is left to Bapuji to be taken as he is the eldest of all and carries experience. Bapuji tells that the world survives on faith and they should also trust their instincts and go for the Singapore trip.
Taarak Mehta tells everyone that the condition of Popatlal coming for the trip should be met. Popatlal tells that he isn't in a mindset of travelling any place and that he doesn't see any hope for himself in the future. Jethalal gets irritated of Popatlal's wish of not coming for the trip and tells everyone to forget about the Singapore trip. Everyone tries to convince Popatlal one last time. Finally, Sodhi tells everyone not to force Popatlal and Bhide adjourns the meeting.
