Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah written update June 25, 2019: Water crisis causes high demand for water
In the latest episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, we see how the water crisis give birth to water black marketing.
The episode starts with Goli telling Komal to make something special to eat whenever the water problem is resolved. He keeps taking names of different dishes. Dr. Haathi encourages him to take names of different dishes so his mouth waters and he doesn't have the urge to have water. Bapuji asks Taarak Mehta to call and check why haven't the rest of the gents reached home yet. Just then the gents reach and are swarmed by the rest of the members to know the progress of the repairs. Popatlal tells them that they have spoken to the authorities and Iyer tells them that the society will have water by morning. Bapuji tells Bhide to check the valves in the pump room. Bhide calls Abdul to check if the valves in the pump room are switched on. Abdul assures him that the valves are switched on. Dr. Haathi says that after all the running around they have done to resolve the water problem they will sleep peacefully tonight. The next morning Bhide meets Abdul on his way to the pump room. They notice there is no water in the tank. Anjali calls out to Bhide and tells him that there is no water in their house. Bhide tells her that there is no water in the society.
Just then, Taarak Mehta calls out to Anjali to rush in the house. They watch on the news that the water problem won't be resolved soon as the repair work is still in progress. Iyer calls Bhide and tells him there is no water at his house. Bhide tells him to see the news. Popatlal comes to Iyer's house and they together watch news. The news shows that they repair work does not have a definite finish date. Bapuji sees Sodhi walking in the premise and asks him about the news. Sodhi tells him that everyone is meeting at Mehta's house and he should join them too. They all discuss about the ongoing troubles because of the water crisis. Bhide calls the municipality office to check for an update. The lady tells him that there is no update available about the water crisis. She tells them to be patient and the water tanker will arrive by 1-2pm. They discuss what their condition is without water. They decide that they cannot rely on the municipality tanker and that they will have to call for a private tanker. Bhide calls a tanker provider and he quotes the figure of 20 thousand rupees.
Bhide is shell shocked to hear it. Taarak Mehta suggests to try calling other vendors. Everyone calls other vendors however they also quote similar figures. Iyer suggests to pitch in and call for water tanker. Bapuji angrily declines stating that why should they pay a higher price for water. He says they can purchase as they have the money however people who don't have the money won't be able to. Just then Jethalal arrives and tells them that Abdul informed him about the water crisis. They all tell him how difficult it is for them to stay without water. He tells them to call for water tanker. They try to tell him that Bapuji has declined it. He thinks Popatlal has declined to call for a tanker. Jethalal gets angry with Popatlal. Popatlal finally tells him that it's Bapuji who's not allowed to call for a tanker. Bapuji gets upset and tells them that they will not call for a tanker. Jethalal has no other option but to agree with him
